Ronald H. Bathgate offered seven steps in the process of translation in his essay entitled "A Survey of Translation Theory" namely; 1) Tuning, 2) Analyzing, 3) Understanding, 4) Terminology, 5) Restructuring, 6) Checking, 7) Discussing. As one of the models in the process translation beside models or patterns which has been stated by other experts. Model Bathgate translation called the Operational Model.
